Again...can't say enough about everyone who participated in making the party such a rousing success! We hope everyon had as much fun as we, the Planning Committee, did...now, let's get geared up for another event in say...two years? Maybe a picnic to hold us over until it's time for the 25th Anniversary Party!

THIS JUST IN
The Southbound Hollywood Freeway (101) will be closed down to TWO LANES from 10:00PM to 6:00 AM on Friday 9/30 to Monday October 3. This will affect the drive going home after the party. You may want to plan an alternate route if you use the 101 South. Thanks to Susan Bougetz for sending in this info!!
STORIES
Just wanted to thank everyone who sent in a story or memory. They have all been absolutely wonderful. We have received so much material that there was no way we could have possibly used everything we were sent. Please understand that we had to keep time constraints in mind while editing and compiling the "script". All stories sent to us will be posted on the website for everyone to read after the party. Some of the stories that we had to shorten will be restored to their original length on the website. If for any reason you do not want your story posted on the website please just email us at stories@celebrate-latc.org and let us know and we won't post your story. Again, big, big thanks to everyone for participating.
READERS
All Readers, you know who you are, please plan to arrive at the Theatre by 6:00PM SHARP! This is just so we can get everyone situated before the rush of arrivals.

Just a little info about the evening. We will have two sign in tables set up in the lobby. One near the side/front entrance and one near the back/alley entrance. We will be asking everyone to sign in and give us some contact information so we will be able to have a really good contact list if we were to try and do this again in five years. We will then send you onto a table to pickup or fill out your name tag and then you will proceed into Theatre One. SO...you can see that it would really, really be helpful if you were all either just a teensy bit early or right on time. What would "right on time" be, you ask? Why 6:30 of course!
We're gonna have a photographer there to document the evening. After the party we will make the photos available through an online system such as Shutterfly.
We'll also have a DJ playing some nice dinner music and then some good dance tunes for dancing a little later.

Alrighty! We're doing pretty good with the fund raising folks but we aren't quite there yet. We really, really, REALLY need to raise $4,000.00 in the next week or so. The Planning Committee has done a wonderful job so far cutting costs and finding creative ways to solve party challenges. But the bottom line is food and drinks cost and we're doing our best to make sure we have enough of all of it! $20.00, $60.00, $100.00 and on, it all helps. So dig deep, as deep as you can. Our heartfelt thanks to all who have already donated.

You may have noticed that up there in the first paragraph of the party information it now says that the party will start at 6:30. LET ME CLARIFY...EVERYONE MUST ARRIVE AT 6:30!!! Because the show starts at 7:00...did you get that? This event has a 7:00 CURTAIN and you don't want to miss this people, it is shaping up to be a very funny 45 minutes (see we ain't gonna make you wait for your drinks too long). So start planning your arrival schedule now because the Stage Manager will not hold the curtain for you...at least not beyond the standard ten minute hold for L.A. traffic.

FUNDING GOAL
OK, we're getting into the home stretch here to make our final arrangements for this event. We have to raise at least $7,000.00 more by September 15th! I know we can do it! If you're planning on coming and you haven't made a donation yet please send in a little something, seriously every $20.00 dollars makes a difference.

LATC Reunion in the news
The reunion event was the focus of a Los Angeles Times article. Big shout out to Don Shirley at the LA Times for being such a good guy and spending a little time on the phone with Daryn Goodall (Planning Committee member) discussing our big reunion event. Sadly the online link is no longer working so if you would like to see a copy of the article email Tantris at tantris@celebrate-latc.org and she can get a copy of it to you. We are not posting it here as it would be a copyright violation.
Donations
We really need to get some donations in so if you have been planning on sending something, NOW would be a really good time! Please remember that no donation is too small … $5.00, $10.00, $15.00, $20.00. It will all help. We have to start hiring people to make this event possible and we can’t do that without funding. Just think in terms of what you would pay to go out to dinner one night and then just send that along to us and we’ll do our best to get you fed on the night of the party! THANKS!
Site News
You will notice that there are a couple of additions to the site. This PARTY NEWS section being one of them. Check here for updates first. We also added a VOLUNTEERS page to let you all know approximately how many volunteers we think we’re going to need and in what categories. This isn’t written in stone but we wanted to get some general information about this out to you all so you could start thinking about what you might be willing to do to participate.
Most importantly we added the RSVP page. Please confirm that you will attend the party! We have GOT to get a head count or we will not be able to accurately order food and beverages…you wouldn’t want us to run out of BEVERAGES NOW WOULD YOU???? Even if you already said that you will be attending the reunion in the Guestbook we’d really appreciate it again if you’d check in on the RSVP Page. Remember to spread the word folks…we really, really want a good turn out for this event.
